Monday Night Men's League Rules:
Play will start on Monday, June 7th and finish up on Monday, September 13th with a fun night scramble and dinner. There will be 3 divisions. Eight teams will move on into the championship rounds starting after the August 30th matches ( 3 division winners, 3 runners ups and 2 wild-cards). The fee is $50 per person and that covers the dinner on the last night. The $50 must be paid the first night of play. All collected money is paid out.
We will be using the same scoring system as last year. The lowest handicapped player from one team will play against the lowest handicap player of the other team. The second players will also play against each other. Then there will be the teams playing against each other for a total of 27 points. All matches will be handicapped. The first five matches you will use your club handicap, then we will start to generate a league handicap using your last five rounds that you have shot in league. This handicap will be posted on the results starting in week five. Make sure to hand in your cards as soon as you are done. If you want to tabulate your results that is fine by me, but please have each players handicaps on the card for scoring purposes.
Please follow all normal match play and golf rules on the course.
The nights results will only count if every team is able to finish their nine hole round. The course will make the decision on whether the course is playable or if a night has to be canceled.
You will be allowed to make up a nights match if you and the team you are playing can work out an alternate time to play, but remember this forfeits you from playing for any flags on Monday night.
Subs are allowed and can pay a $3 fee to get in on the flags for the night. Subs should have an established handicap and subs that are used frequently will have a league handicap if they have played 5 rounds or more.
I really cant think of anything else although I am sure I am missing something.
Go out and have fun, that is what this league is all about.
